Captain Fear Tampa Bay Buccaneers 50th Anniversary Vinyl Figure

Since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered the NFL as an expansion franchise in 1976, pirate lore has anchored the club’s Gulf Coast identity. Introduced in June 2000 as the captain of the shipwrecked vessel moored in Buccaneer Cove at Raymond James Stadium, Captain Fear bridges the franchise’s early history with its modern championship era. This Captain Fear Tampa Bay Buccaneers 50th Anniversary Vinyl Figure marks the 1976–2026 half-century milestone through a three-dimensional stylized vinyl sculpt built for desks, bookshelves, and game-day media rooms.

Pirate Sideline Lore & 1976–2026 Anniversary Details

Every surface of the figure captures the swashbuckling character seen firing the stadium cannons on Sundays in Tampa. Beneath a wide black tricorn hat trimmed in metallic gold and centered with the red Buccaneers skull-and-crossed-swords battle flag, Captain Fear wears a crimson bandana, gold hoop earrings, and his signature black patch over the left eye. A dense, dark brown beard frames his determined expression, while his red captain’s coat features yellow cuffs, a brown cross-body baldric strap, and a buckled waist belt.

Instead of an empty-handed pose, the sculpt equips the mascot with both emblems of Buccaneer football: a brown laced football tucked firmly under his right arm and a silver-toned cutlass sword with a gold guard gripped in his left hand.

Molded Vinyl Construction & Collector Box Display

Cast from dense PVC/vinyl with a smooth matte and satin factory paint application, the figure maintains crisp color separation across the hat trim, coat lapels, and black buckled boots. The balanced footprint allows the figure to stand upright on flat wood, glass, or laminate surfaces without needing an external base or wall mount.

Accompanying the figure is the full-color printed #50 collector display box, finished with a football-pebble black graphic background, the metallic-look 50th Anniversary 1976–2026 crest, and matching character illustrations on the front and side panels. Collectors building a wider NFL mascot lineup can pair Captain Fear with the Minnesota Vikings Viktor The Viking figure for a multi-team shelf arrangement.
