What happened to Jaylon Ferguson? Baltimore Ravens defender Jaylon Ferguson passed away at the age of 26 on Wednesday. Ferguson was the Ravens’ third-round pick in 2019, who earned his way into the NFL by becoming a star player for Louisiana Tech. During his three seasons with the Ravens, Ferguson scored a total of 67 tackles and 4.5 tackles.

Baltimore police responded to a reporter that a home in the 400th block of Ilchester Ave in Baltimore reported a suspicious death around 11:25 p.m. ET Tuesday. The unresponsive Ferguson is being treated by doctors, a Baltimore police spokesman confirmed to NFL.com. Ferguson never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead at the scene by doctors.
No signs of injury were found and foul play is not suspected at this time, Baltimore Police said.
For the third time being picked out of Louisiana Tech in 2019, Ferguson played 38 games with Raven, including 10 starts, and scored 67 tackles and 4.5 pitches over three seasons.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said: “Jaylon is a kind, gentle person who loves his family and teammates. He’s always fun to talk to and around every day. You always want to see him. and speak to ‘Ferg.’ Our prayers and our help go to his family. Our hearts are with his God. RIP, Jaylon.”
Ferguson has two daughters and one son, all under the age of 5.
