When School’s Out hit record stores in June 1972 wrapped inside Craig Braun’s die-cut paper school desk, Alice Cooper permanently merged hard rock with grand-guignol horror theater. The Alice Cooper School’s Out Legacy Advent Calendar brings fifty years of vaudeville rock rebellion to the December countdown, combining a distressed detention-chalkboard collector box with 24 freestanding, three-dimensional molded miniatures designed for vinyl listening rooms, amp tops, and collector shelves.

Wrapped in matte chalkboard black and dripping horror-crimson typography, the rigid paperboard exterior sets the scene before the first door even opens. Along the left flank, steel-gray chains suspend an A C COOPER skull-and-crossbones crest above red chalk-style SCHOOL’S OUT lettering and a four-rule detention board reading DETENTION: BE LATE / BE LOUD / BE WILD / STAY ALIVE. Beside it, twenty-four numbered doors stamped with miniature white skulls count down the days to Christmas.
Eighteen Theatrical Stage Personas & Six Grand-Guignol Props
Rather than relying on flat ornaments or generic holiday trinkets, the 24 compartments divide into an 18-figure wardrobe retrospective and a 6-piece front row of concert stage hardware. Across the 18 freestanding full-body figurines, sculpted details trace the evolution of Cooper’s ringmaster villainy—from a rebellious schoolboy blazer-and-shorts uniform with a striped tie to a black-and-white vertical striped pinstripe suit, an all-white top-hat and tailcoat ensemble, and a crimson-lined black vampire cape. His darkest theatrical chapters appear in full 3D relief: a strapped white asylum straitjacket, a blood-splattered butcher apron clutching a severed head prop, a ruffled white shirt with a coiled boa constrictor draped across the shoulders, and studded black leather trench coats wielding canes, whips, foils, and crutches.

Anchoring the foreground are six standalone miniature replicas of the props that turned 1970s arena rock into a midnight horror matinee. Collectors will uncover a weathered wooden classroom desk topped with stacked books and a red apple with SCHOOL’S OUT chalked across its front panel, alongside a miniature timber-framed stage guillotine stamped ALICE COOPER at the base, a coiled green-and-brown boa constrictor baring its fangs, a vintage ribbed silver stand microphone, a skull-crowned walking cane, and a silver-bordered ALICE COOPER marquee plaque. Because every figurine and prop is molded for freestanding stability, the full 24-piece ensemble remains a permanent music-room display long after December ends.
